I look at some of todays 'scholars of Africa' and I cannot help but to fear how a misrepresentation might be detrimental to the education or rather excavation of our history that has been purposely buried under heavy debris of colonial dogma and just outright lies. My fear is that in the search for the true African perspective we might lose the true meaning of the African narrative which has always been very rich in terms of perspectives, difference in rule and societal structure and overall outlook.
