Let's Talk Revenue

We don't have information on the Medicare Accountable Care Organization (ACO) programs. However, as Trump originally launched the Direct Contracting Entity (DCE) model now referred to as ACO REACH, it would be likely that ACO REACH would continue under a different name with some of the features of the original DCE model.

Preventive Pay

As VBC models are evaluated and possibly terminated, now is the time to launch new revenue strategies and pivot.

What's changing Models Identified to End Early (Original Performance Period) Maryland Total Cost of Care (2019 - 2026) Primary Care First (2021 - 2026) ESRD Treatment Choices (2021 - 2027; will propose termination through rulemaking) Making Care Primary (2024 - 2034) Additionally, the CMS Innovation Center is considering options to reduce the size of Integrated Care for Kids (2020 – 2026). Further, the CMS Innovation Center will no longer pursue two previously announced but not yet implemented models given the flexibility provided by President Trump’s recission of Executive Order 14087 on January 20, 2025. ESRD Treatment Choices (ETC) Model Update To all ETC Participants, This email is to announce that CMS plans to announce its intention to conduct future rulemaking to terminate the ESRD Treatment Choices (ETC) Model, with a proposed end date of December 31, 2025. Given that this model was implemented through rulemaking, any changes to the rule, including termination, must be made via future notice and comment rulemaking, which will come out at a later date. We appreciate your efforts on behalf of beneficiaries and your work in implementing this model test. More details will be forthcoming. Sincerely, The ETC Model Team
