Repeat After Me: "I Am Not a Thug"

Repeat After Me: "I Am Not a Thug"

Profanity and foul language are out of the control in the workplace, in the education system, and in everyday life. So, let's help change that.

Repeat after me:

"I am an intelligent, bright, educated individual.

"I speak with grace, elegance, class, and sophistication.

"I do not use vulgarity, profanity, or foul language of any kind in communication.

"If I stub my toe or get caught in traffic, yes, I might swear or use a curse word in a weak moment. But I refuse to do so in my everyday social, or personal conversations and with, or in, my work.

"I am a professional however or wherever I am employed.

"Additionally, I refuse to speak any holy name in vain that I or anyone of any other culture, spiritual, or religious belief holds dear and sacred.

"I seek to take the high road in all I say and do, and I make every effort and attempt to lead by eloquent example.

"In short, I am not 'holier than thou,' but I am also not a thug."
