REPACKING OUR BAGS – Part 6

IDthree Creating a better tomorrow by Stimulating Thought and Motivating Action
The 2nd item I suggest you discard is Stinking thinking.
When you start to examine your thinking, it becomes apparent why your life is where it is. You apply little, or no thought to content you allow to dominate and absorb energy in your mind. You have forgotten that what you think about is your choice. Your mind is yours. Be strict with access. ?
Who you are, and where you are right now, first takes shape in your mind. Thoughts motivate actions, become habitual and determine our lives. If thinking is the root cause of where we are, should we not be conscious and even intentional about what we mull over all day? A passive mind, allowing “mosquito-like” thoughts that nag, irritate, distract and morbidly consume us is a dangerous mind. It is natural to contemplate negative scenario’s to find solutions or resolution. But, when we give toxic thoughts (real or imagined) time to run rampant in our minds, looking at the same situation thousands of times from every angle, creating suggestions, hypothesis and worst-case scenario’s with astonishing repetition we authorise our own destruction.
This is not only extremely harmful to us, mentally and physically, draining us of energy, but it causes creative paralysis which hinders problem solving ability. So, we make ourselves sick without any positive resolution to the problem (which most often resolves itself.)
A corruptive thinking system is a giant, and if you don’t slay your giant, it will enslave you.

3 年Most of us have been there at some or other. It is only when we experience the 'release' when we are free of these captive , negative thoughts that we truly realise how destructive they were within our lives. Good one Shano!
