Rep of the Month: March
University of Manchester Students' Union
Your student life, amplified.
Each month, we recognise Academic Reps from each Faculty at the University of Manchester for their impressive contributions to making positive changes in this volunteering position. Here we are for the latest instalment where we received 30 nominations from across the university from reps, students and staff and we would like to share this month’s winners!?
Congratulations to Nicolle Chuquilin Mori in the Faculty of Humanities! We want to give you a shout-out for making waves on your Business Analytics course – taking feedback on board and proactively making sure something is done about it! You’ve helped create a comfortable environment where students and reps alike feel heard. As such you’ve notably had a positive impact on the learning environment on this course!??
Congratulations to Cayetano Fernandez Ruiz in the Faculty of Science and Engineering! We want to give you a shout-out for really going above and beyond as a lead rep in Physics and Astronomy – you've taken your classmates concerns about mental health and made sure that they’re supported by offering weekly drop-ins and a rolling survey. You’ve also made sure to support all younger year reps helping the rep programme run like a well-oiled machine for your cohort!??

Congratulations again to Ratendra Chauhan in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health! We want to give you a shout out for being the jack of all trades! You’ve amplified the student voice where you can and have attended meetings with Dame Nancy Rothwell. Not only that, you’ve also made suggestions to improve opportunities to attend careers fairs for your peers, amongst many other things shaping your course to serve your cohort! ? ? We would also like to give a huge round of applause to Monica Neculau, Srishti Jajodia, Tan Fung Lam and Felix Issac Baby who were all deservedly shortlisted and are the runners-up this month. They are experts in collecting feedback and working together with their peers and colleagues to change!??
We're very grateful to be working with such great reps!?
