Renison critical infrastructure renewal

Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd is working to modernise its operations at the Renison Tin Mine to improve safety and lower risk.

Part of this commitment is the upgrade to the switchyard that was constructed in the 1960’s. This key infrastructure supplies power across the entire site, including to our underground operations.

The last of the high voltage transformers will be switched over to the new system this month following an 18-month upgrade, providing a more robust, reliable and safe power supply.

A continuing program of Renison critical infrastructure renewal will be implemented as the mine develops, including dewatering, communications, data, ventilation and power.
