Renegade Roundup: 40 Renegades add "Angel Investor" to their Resume
There's nothing like your first time. First time skiing down a black diamond.?First time delivering a keynote. First time angel investing. To me, first times are always a win in my book because it takes guts to go where you've never gone before. This week is big on firsts. Let me show you what I mean:
I am still buzzing from my time last week at the 25th Anniversary Women Presidents' global conference in Montreal. Taking the stage as their keynote speaker was a career highlight – after all, it's not every day that I get to be in a room with 600 female presidents with $22 Billion in aggregrate revenue. Total Renegades. I'm thrilled to be joining WPO (howdy Austin Chapter) to continue our deep and tactical conversations on how to get more women seats at the right tables. Board seats. Cap tables. And beyond.
Throughout the past month, more than 40 Renegade women have made angel investments, contributing nearly $1 million dollars to startups that align with their values. Many are first-time investors, as women have historically been left out of deal-flow conversations and have been denied access. Democratizing the flow of capital, influence and impact is something we work hard to do here at Renegade. The best part? We're just getting started.?
I'm headed to the Cannes Lions festival in June!?

I'm thrilled to be delivering a talk on why corporate brands?must?invest in their people and connect with them on a human level. Retaining and attracting talent is a big topic right now. I'm looking forward to going deep fast with the corporate and creative Renegades out in Cannes.?
Who else is going to be there? Let's sit in the sun together.
Relish in your firsts this week. I know I certainly am.
