Renato Conde presented Interface LEED + Design Guidelines at Greenbuilding Conference in Brazil.

While the benefits of LEED in all levels are clear to stakeholders on the Construction field, its application in Brazil often starts at building or complex scale, and culture of using LEED related strategies and tools among urban planners is still to be developed. The lecture took place in the GBCB International Conference in S?o Paulo, and it was focused in tools to introduce LEED principles and credits’ requirements into masterplans for cities, districts and neighborhoods.

Renato has shown successful experiences on evaluating beforehand the impact of master planning strategies on sites and buildings’ sustainability design efforts, and applying findings into Design and Building Guidelines to ensure architects, landscape architects and other stakeholders have a baseline (minimum performance requirements for buildings and sites) to achieve developments’ sustainability goals, and consequently aimed level of certification.

The lecture was one of the Educational Sessions within the event, part of the LEED Credential Maintenance Program and for specific contented related to LEED, it’s possible to consider as LEED Specific.
