I am renaming my newsletter to “The Staff of A.I.-Sclepius”
Dear Valued Readers,
It's with great pleasure that I unveil the evolution of our newsletter's name to something that encapsulates our passion and the essence of our shared journey: "The Staff of AI-sclepius."
So why this change? The name is a tapestry of wordplay and symbolism that reflects the core of our content. Let's unpack it together:
- AI: At the heart of our discussion is Artificial Intelligence, the transformative force reshaping healthcare. The "AI" in AI-sclepius underscores our focus on the innovative technologies that are pivotal in advancing medical science.
- Asclepius: We draw inspiration from Asclepius, the god of medicine in ancient Greek mythology. Asclepius's enduring legacy in the medical realm reminds us of the timeless commitment to healing and the advancement of medical knowledge.
- Staff: This word serves a dual purpose. Historically, it refers to the Rod of Asclepius, an emblem of medical care and healing, with a single serpent encircling it. In contemporary terms, "staff" conveys our collective— the brilliant minds and dedicated professionals (like yourselves) who are the backbone of the healthcare industry and who drive the development and application of AI in medicine.

By intertwining AI with Asclepius and the concept of the staff, we encapsulate the union of cutting-edge technology with the age-old mission of health and healing. The name "The Staff of AI-sclepius" is a nod to the past and a leap into the future — where AI is our staff, aiding us like the mythical rod, and where you, our readers and contributors, are the staff, the modern-day healers who wield technology to create a healthier world.
I am thrilled to continue our exploration under this new banner, and I look forward to the insights, debates, and breakthroughs we will share.
Here's to the future of medicine, together.
Warmest regards,
Dr S Bhatia
Till the next one :-)
