Many believe that the ideal is to become this well-rounded worldly person who can talk to anyone about anything and sound smart along the way.

This notion goes mostly unchallenged since this strength allows one to connect to a much broader social circle as well as reach this ultimate intellectual standard.

Is this something that we should all seek or is there something wrong with this equation.

Here's the mistake

When one splits his focus, he sacrifices becoming a true expert in any field.

In the pursuit of getting the most of all worlds, you end up getting the best of none.

The same mistake and allure are made when we attempt to multi-task. What's wrong with doing more in the same amount of time?

Focus on a human is limited in scope and the more you expand how much you focus on, the less you are focused on any specific area.

When we are faced with one of these ”why not?” situations to chase more than our core values, let's ain't the strength to say ”no”; Not because it's wrong but because it will distract us from our passions and core life goals.

For some becoming the ”Renaissance man” is who they are and is right for them. However, let's have the moral clarity to understand that this eclectic accumulation of knowledge is not the objective ideal.
