Renaissance In India Project

Today I personally had a master clue to the Renaissance in India project. That ‘Spirituality’ is the master key or essential core nature of Indian-ness has been said by several people including Sri Aurobindo, Swami Vivekananda and Rabindranath Tagore. Its true spiritual essence is Universal – giving space for every other religion and spiritual pursuit. Essentially India’s spirituality means its children can hold a living connection with the Divine Consciousness and Sakthi. It is the Sanathana Dharma – where space is given to every religion but India’s own core poise of spiritual university is maintained. Holding one’s essence of universal spirituality and giving space or even enhancing every other religion / spiritual path to go to its depth against its light and force is the true spirituality of India in my view. But this is not my insight of today.

People say that India and China are super powers. Both are ancient civilizations and both have thus a core culture at its depth. But the essence of India and Chine are very different. Today India is aping other countries, losing its core self in the process. This way India cannot be a Super Power. My view is that it can be a super power when it is Itself – one of the aspects of the same being holding its essence of Spirituality. Now suddenly within me the spiritual essence of India and its Super Power role click. Yes, may be India can hold every other country within its soul and enhance each of the countries. But for that it cannot continue to make is fundamental mistake – losing oneself/ soul to ape the other. It needs to be itself and hold its core. In the past a super power country imposed itself on other countries. But that India can never do as it is not in its fabric or in its soil or in its heart. It needs to be itself and embrace the essence of every other country through its interactions. India will even enhance the strength of the essence of all other countries in this inclusive embrace. So the role of India as a super power could mean it enhances all other countries to be themselves, to evolve to their true levels and potentials and facilitate a mutual interchange between nations where each enhance each other. This to me appears as the true nature and the possible role of India as a super power. But it should first arrest its time worn habit of selling of its soul and losing itself when it embraces or contacts with the other. Second it should be Itself a) embrace its spirituality b) be opulent and vitally creative c) bring forth high intellectual pursuits and d) take every pursuit to its epitome of explorations and integrate it all for mutual enhancement. Third it should enhance its interactions with other countries and give space for and celebrate their essence/ best minds and hearts and works. Fourth it should play a global role of creating global governance where countries could enhance each other and support mutual growth and evolution.
