Remove dependencies or tables from the Data Source of the Canvas App/PowerApps
In certain situations, we might add multiple data sources or tables to a Canvas App to fulfill a specific functionality. However, there may come a time when we need to streamline the app and reduce dependencies for easier deployment. In this blog, we'll explore the process of removing tables or data sources from a Canvas App to maintain its cleanliness and independence.
To remove tables from a data source in a Power Apps Canvas app, follow these steps:
1. Open your Canvas app: Log in to Power Apps and open the Canvas app you want to modify.
2. Navigate to data sources: Find the "Data sources" option in the left toolbar or menu. Click on it to view a list of data sources connected to your app.
3. Select the data source: Identify the data source containing the tables you want to remove. Click on it to select it.
4. Remove tables: Within the list of tables, locate the ones you want to remove. There will be an option next to each table to remove it. Click on this option to remove the table from the data source.

5. Refresh or update app elements: If the tables you removed were being used in any app elements (such as galleries, forms, or data controls), you may need to refresh or update those elements to ensure they continue to function properly without the removed tables.
Always double-check your actions when removing tables from a data source, as this action could affect any components or functionalities in your Canvas app that rely on that data.
