?? What skills are remote companies looking at when hiring talents?
First and foremost they are seeking value-driven candidates who will share with them the same vision and mission. Are you one of those people?
"Companies that decided to go remote consciously are those who care about people, they are human-centric, and value work-life balance. They know that hiring people from diverse locations will boost the company’s growth," says @Nadia Harris.

?? Remote workers combine freedom with better pay
Remote jobs offer the freedom to choose where you work, how you work and when you work. All this comes with a paycheck in many cases. This is not only great for employees; it's also a big deal for employers who are looking for top talent who can think outside the box. They also have access to a growing pool of candidates that reflects the modern quality workforce.?
In full remote - higher salaries
This is what the report "2022 State of Tech Salaries: Navigating an Uncertain Hiring Market", published by Hired, shows. This report covers the US, Canada, and the UK . It sheds a fascinating light on what is currently going on among tech employees.?
According to the study, tech employees are now paid more when they work remotely. In all three countries, telecommuters are paid an average of $3,000 more per year.
Geographically, the San Francisco Bay Area and its region holds the pole position with an average local salary of $174,063, followed by Seattle at $168,069 and New York at $161,128. But the highest salary increases were in Toronto and London.?
In fact, the trend has been going on for some time. The "2021-state-of-remote-work-employer-survey-report" by Payscale already came to the same conclusion: "Employees who telework 100% are paid more than those who work permanently on-site". A difference that varies on average, depending on the method of calculation, between +1.9% and 23.7%, which, let's face it, is no mean feat.

????? Introducing #JOBGETHERFaces ?
Continuing our new rubric? #JOBGETHERFaces we are ready to share another batch of priceless thoughts and advice from Top experts of the remote work world. Today it’s Alexandre Hernandez, Co-founder and Sales Director at Jobgether ??
?? What professional recommendations can you give to those who are starting remote and wants to develop in your area of expertise?
??The transformation to the full remote is not a small step and it needs to be prepared accordingly.
Here are my 3 recommendations:
- Full remote doesn't mean working from home only. Make sure to find the right balance for you between working from home, from a co-working, or from a different place every week. This is no 1 rule fits all, find yours.
- At home, don't work where you relax. Set up a nice place to work, with a good chair, good light and, ideally, 2 screens. Working from home should be something you enjoy so the investment should be worth it.?
- Communicate, communicate, communicate. When working remotely, communication is key. When things are not going well, don't wait until the last minute to tell your manager. If you are managing people, be close to them and set up a trusting environment where they can tell you when things are not going well.?
?? What helps you be productive while working remotely?
??Because I am not commuting anymore, I can sleep until 8 am. I am not a morning person, and waking up at 8 am helps me feel better. I walk 3km every morning to walk my daughter to school and it helps me get in the right mood for work. On my calendar, I set up a time to have lunch every day and I cook every day. It helps me free my mind and I eat healthy (most of the time).?
When possible, I try to push for walking meetings, I go outside or I walk in the house. It cuts from the screen and it's nice to be moving during the day. Twice a week, I book a 2-hour lunch break I use to go to the gym.?
In the morning, I leave my mobile phone in another room so I can avoid distractions.
