Looking for creative ideas to celebrate holidays with your remote team? ????
Here are a few from the?Running Remote community?members.
- My team had the epic idea of organizing "gingerbread" wars as an online team activity. The winner is ... (you guessed it) the person that made the most beautiful/fabulous/creative gingerbread. –?Alexandrina Danifeld | Head of Talent at Liv.it
- We usually try to do holiday gifts exchange, starting with an engagement event (this year, we are running an online game show with LunaPark) and a company wellness day (to spend with loved ones). Last year we also had a professional chef as well imparting some cooking tips. – Sucharith Menon | Head of Talent & Culture at LeadIQ
- We run a creative workshop through a company called 28muses. Last year it was a music "drawing" class, this year we just did a workshop on Chinese character calligraphy -- first learning some history and then inventing our own characters. It was so fun to guess who drew each character. – Vlad Lokshin | Co-founder at Turtle
- I always ran a "global cookie exchange" people would fill out a form with their address and dietary restrictions then we'd match them with another employee participating. People would bake their favorite winter cookies and mail them to one another. The only requirement was to post a video of the unboxing! Such an amazing and heartwarming activity. – Darcy Boles | ex-Director of Culture at TaxJar
