The way you schedule a meeting for work. The way you schedule a dentist appointment or seeing a family member. Schedule joy. Put it on your calendar.

So that is exactly what I did. I am in Rome right now with my husband. Kid free! We have toured through the Vatican, the Coliseum, and the Forum. We have learned how to make pasta with an Italian Grandma, toured a 16th-century artisan winery, ate at a Michelin star restaurant, and still have more on deck.?

I am not sharing this to make you envious, but to share that all work and no play is bad for your relationships, your mental health, and overall well-being. Normally, I would be in Los Angeles for VidSummit but decided that my personal happiness was more important than business.
