A Reminder To Learn

I was reflecting on a rather disappointing blunder I had this week. The post-blunder series of thoughts made me realize how badly I beat myself up. Note, it wasn't my peers that KO'd me. It was all me!

This made me realize how easy it is to forget the source of growth - failure! Through each foley, blunder and/or mistake we have the opportunity to learn. Failure is the soil in which life's successes are grown.

Now, my goal here isn't to preach from the pews. My goal here is to simply remind myself that I am my own worst enemy. It is me who must learn, grow and advance. Also, this event offered yet another opportunity to quote Star Wars in life:

"The greatest teacher, failure is." - Yoda

That is truly all we need to remember.
