A reminder of the dangers !
On Sunday 10 November, Fire and Rescue NSW crews from the Nambucca Heads area were in attendance at a bushfire on Kian road from 10:30am.
At around 3:14pm, a falling tree impacted one of our Fire and Rescue trucks.
One firefighter was partially outside the truck when the tree fell, causing injuries to her head and neck.
The impact of the tree falling on the roof also caused head injuries to another firefighter inside the truck.
Both firefighters were attended to by our colleagues from NSW Ambulance and have been transferred to hospital in stable condition.
Fire and Rescue NSW remains updated on their recovery and is providing all necessary welfare support.

4 年Given the recent deaths and injuries in Fire Trucks, maybe roll cages need to be fitted inside cabins... similiar to whats used in professional race cars to protect the occupants from trees falling and roll overs?
