Despite a freezing wind, those gathered watched as numerous dignitaries placed wreaths at the Provincial Cenotaph. A timed 21-gun salute could be heard in the background.
The service was presided over by Don Swain, president of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 4 in Fredericton.
The Fredericton Concert and Marching Band along with 2RCR Pipes and Drums provided music.
