Hello Everyone,
The 11th of November each year marks the day of remembrance, this day is dedicated to remembering the soldiers who fought to protect the nation during the world wars. DCSS Australia would like to thank and honour the soldiers and their family members who persevere through the hardship of the wars. We would like to invite all of you to take a minute of silence on this day and reflect on those who risk their lives so that we can be safe at home.
We also would like to honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander soldiers that served during the wars. We acknowledge the pain caused by discrimination and segregation faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander soldiers after the war, we thank you for your services and sacrifice.
As Melbourne lockdown restriction still applies, although we cannot come together physically, we will come together in spirit and honour the memory of the sacrifices made by the soldiers and their families.
DCSS Australia is aware of the hardship faced by soldiers that come home with emotional and physical scars. We also would like to acknowledge the family members who are caring or grieving for those who were in the armed forces.
We would like to offer our personalised services tailored to your needs and utilizes our team’s direct experiences. Our team also includes those who have been in service with the armed forces and their direct experience is a powerful instrument to better support our client’s healing.
Our organisation will not be here without your support, so we thank everyone who is able to make a tax-deductible donation to DCSS Australia and make it possible for us to do what we do, please visit https://www.dcssaustralia.org/support-us
Yours Sincerely,
Diverse Communities & Social Services (DCSS) Australia Inc.
