Remembering who you are takes work.
"Embody your truth in every action. Lovingly and bravely remember who you are in your bones as you do your work."
The Pink Moon cycle was April 8 - May 6, 2024 and is all about the first blooms of spring. It's new moon was in the fire sign of Aires and it's full moon in the water sign of Scorpio. For those who like a little more astrological context, there it is. I do try to embody the energy of the zodiac in my intentions. I figure if there's a certain energy rippling through the cosmos, why not work with it? So a new moon in Aires prompts us to chase our goals and a full Pink Moon in Scorpio nudges us to be brave.
One of my lifelong goals is to remember who I am. To systematically and consciously reclaim my worth based on the knowing that I am ME. And the work of remembering ME is the work of holding every thought, belief, action and behavior up to the light to weigh it's worth. Is it mine? Do I keep it? Do I need it anymore? How do I integrate it? It's painstaking work that comes with many job hazards, such as doubt, vulnerability hangovers, feelings of worthlessness and outbursts of emotion, to name a few.
I hold monthly community circles in the town of Ipswich, Massachusetts. Here's what I wrote as our grounding meditation before circle began. I believe this sums up my intention and my work over this Pink Moon cycle. And maybe it will help you remember a little bit more of who you if you're curious about remembering who you are too? Enjoy.
We go through the fire alone, into the shadows, in order to emerge anew. This is a singular path for each of us. A windy and dark and treacherous path filled with our deepest fears. If we choose not to take this path our fears consume us until it's either too late or too much.
However if we meet our fears, wrestle them, question them, battle them and bring them through the fires with us, they become our greatest teachers and provide a level of understanding and being beyond our wildest dreams.
Remember our ego can only go backwards. Our ego can only pull from what it has experienced and knows. Your ego creates a loop in your life so that you experience the same pattern day after day after month after year. Our ego is our life set on repeat.

Our soul, however, our soul is made for our unique purpose. Our souls embody our truth. Their course is set for aliveness, for growth, for joy and love. Our souls do not mind what our bodies must endure in order for truth to shine. For our souls, nothing is more important, more pertinent, than revealing the truth of its core. And to do there are no greater tools than fire and darkness.
And yet...we are not alone.
As much as it is ours to choose to walk into our shadow and through the fire, it is also our right to take our place among those who have gone before us and will come after us. It is as much our right to rely on, ask for, receive from the collective of women who know our truth because they have the hunger and desire to know their truth.
Do not go this alone. Do not think yourself too special, too quiet, too undeserving, or too busy to sit and receive love from all the women, the souls, the spirits, the Goddess herself, who embody truth. For truth is love. And love is light. And so this is your power: to sit and receive this truth. This love. This light. At any moment, regardless of what you have done, how you feel or who you are.
Happy remembering. I promise you, it's worth it. You are worth it.
Disclaimer! I see these articles as glorified journal entries. The are unedited and unresearched. They come from my heart, my experience and my current knowledge. I’m so happy to share them. My intention is to summarize what I experience during each moon cycle in hopes it may be of value to others as well.
