Remembering Mzee
10th May 2023
Today, we mark the one-year anniversary of the day we bid farewell to a truly remarkable man - my father. It is difficult to put into words just how much he meant to all of us, but I will do my best to capture the essence of his life and the impact he had on us all.
My father was a loving and caring man, who always put his family first. He showed us what it meant to be a parent, a grandparent, and a partner in life. He was always there for us, no matter what. Whether it was helping with nappies, listening to our problems, or just being a shoulder to cry on, my father was always present and available. He used to always say “health is wealth” and he lived this to his last day.
But my father was also demanding - not just of us, but of himself as well. He had a relentless drive to succeed in all that he did, and he expected nothing less from those around him. He was action-oriented, never content to just sit back and let life happen to him. He always took the lead and made things happen. He had little patience for those who couldn't keep up with his pace. However this wasn't because he was selfish or insensitive; it was because he knew that time was precious, and he wanted to make the most of every moment.

Work was the center of my father's life. He loved what he did, and he poured himself into his work with an intensity that was truly inspiring. He was always striving to do better, to be better, to encourage other to be better and to make a difference in the lives of those around him.
In-spite of his focus on work, perhaps the greatest joy in my father's life came from his grandchildren. He cared immensely for them, and they adored him in return. Watching him with them was a true joy - he was patient, kind, and always had time for them. He was the perfect grandfather, there to love, and encourage making them believe that they are capable of anything and that they too can make a difference in the world.
In the end, my father's legacy is not just the work he accomplished or the successes he achieved, but the impact he had on the lives of those around him. He taught us what it meant to be a loving, caring, and committed person, and we will carry his memory with us always.
Rest in peace, Dad. You will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

1 年I'm very sorry to read about the news of your father dear Vipul. I missed the news a year ago, and I want to send you my heartfelt sympathies. Though I didn't know him personally, he was clearly an exceptional person. I'm sure he was also a lucky father and must have been very proud of you! May you remember him for 100 years to come and beyond. Yours sincerely,

1 年He influenced not just his children but all those who interacted with him. I was fortunate to gain from his wisdom and keen business insights. He was a great listener and very well read. I found him extremely patient. But then dad's are known to be more strict and short with their own kids! You are lucky to have been groomed by his acumen and vast experience. Such people are missed and yet fondly remembered...
