Remembering Moments Through Sound.

There wouldn't be any chart toppers & superstar acts without iconic arms such as JB-Hifi, Sanity, HMV, & the likes that sold countless millions of units for your faves in the glorious yesteryears of music prints & business. I can clearly remember all of it. From getting in my car to park close by in the local CBD to purchase CDs (both old & new releases) on a regular business. I didn't mind the money that I was spending just because I could count on the experience a simple disc with music can quite effectively emulate as if you were being transported to sonic dimensions & that's exactly what it all did (especially going through the cover design, artwork, release credits & the grand lyric sheets in the actual booklets). Those days are sadly have quite been phased out though I don't see spots like JB-Hifi closing down just because of the transition of general media. & yes, their CD columns are now obviously as non-existent & the shelves are always full due to lack of patronage. I've been supportive though, just to mention where my pennies go. I am a child of the late 70's & that's one of the many things that nobody can take from me as music to me is better than gold. I can not forget the moments seeing the Smashing Pumpkins out on a field in Melbourne after hearing one of their smash releases at a friend's house in full volume playing from a hifi stereo system. & now, even festivals like the Big Day Out doesn't exist anymore. & the kids are getting more & more restless. So, hence, enter the mobile phones & internet technology. Where anybody & everybody can utilize its accessibility & perform their own media. This is a fete for the advancement of today's movements & culture. NO DOUBT. But I just wonder whether kids heavily into music still are given the experiences of a studio recording that was once gained through the medium of what we know were Compact Discs, through an iPhone & some ear buds. Probably not, specifically to those who doesn't have the means to buy decent Beats1 headphones.
