Remembering the dead

Remembering the dead

On the left, the candle in memoriam of the assassinated hostages and of course the ruthlessly murdered Bibas family (may Yarden Bibas and the sisters of Shiri Bibas be comforted by our common human attitudes, respect and assistance wherever possible), Oded Lifshitz and so many others. We ought to avoid any judgment, clear-cut opinion or words of revenge. May I take the liberty to insist on the fact that the whole of Jewishness focuses on reconciliation, pardon, forgiveness as Christianity does according to the Kippur behavior: pardon, wipe out, absolve all the sins of your children Beyt Israel as those who reside in their midst because all the (human) nation has failed by irrationality/??? ??? ??? ??? ???? ??? ??? ????? ???? ??? ????? ?? ?? ??? ?????.

Two expressions are used at present in Israeli society by some people, not all and one should not judge them either: a) those who remember the assassinated Israelis or residents, but mainly Jews as "May the Lord revenge them" and "We will not pardon, not forget"/?? ????? ??? ?????. Tomorrow, as the Christian Orthodox come to the Sunday of Last Judgment, a week before the Sunday of forgiveness, they commemorate all the dead, all the departed before entering the period of Great Lent with a spirit of penance and return to God through Jesus Christ/messiah with the power of the Holy Spirit.

We face a tantamount, terrible, hideous period of full dehumanization process that also affects the Churches, hierarchy, clergy and laypeople. We face the external proclamation of love and pardon, atonement and even the fact that fighting for the "fatherland" would open to direct die and reach out to the Paradise (sic). This is just "trash", in particular when it deals with the most sacred, holy Mysteries that have been revealed in the present world. We face the reality that we often do not go further than the sign of Yonah, celebrated in the Nineveh days of penitence (Semitic Syriac days of return to the Lord). Millions and millions of individuals have been killed, certain billions and today the Lord calls us to remember that blood and flesh, soul, every human being is called to be respect and revered in the resurrection of the Messiah. As all Orthodox priests, I have "tons of name lists".

At the Golgotha, the unique place in the Orthodox world and conception, where it is possible to remember any soul of any religion, denomination, race, tongue, tribe, the Church bows and kneels down to rise again by the sole will of the Lord. Let's pray for all, all. Pray for the horrible Cain's crime that multiplies at present in the whole world. We remember for the sake of Life! Amen.
