My friend Dan Haggerty, known to many as Grizzly Adams, passed away on January 15, 2016. This photo was taken around 1987. Dan and I were both best men in Dave Mason's wedding. I had first met Dan when I was on the road with Leon Russell, but got to know him better through Dave Mason.
Dan was about as Unique a person as you will ever find and there was a lot more to Dan, than just the Grizzly Adams side. Oddly enough, Dan had taken cooking lessons at the Cordon Bleu School, in France and on a number of occasions, I had the privilege of experiencing his cooking skills.
He was extremely creative and had an amazing way with both animals and people. Dan will be sorely missed.
