Remember what got you where you are today!

When things are challenging, it’s always good to think about the successes you’ve had and the experience you have gained to get you where you are. These are some of my highlights!

·       Student of the Year three times in a row at college. First time that had ever happened at the college. Achieved the highest grades every year for 3 years in a row.

·       Youngest Food & Beverage Manager / Assistant Manager in the group of hotels I worked for. Events up to 500 overseeing the conference and banqueting operations including the bars.

·       Christmas Sales Growth of the Year out of 65 Hotels with the highest percentage revenue and guest growth in the company.

·       To have taken on and trained a conference co-ordinator who later took over my role when I left and was highly successful.

·       Sales Person of the Quarter (group of 10 hotels) having won a £100,000 contract from a client.

·       EMEA Sales Team of the Year 2005 (global brand) for having all hotels exceed their budgets and being in green on the league tables for my cluster of 8 hotels after having been way behind and always in red. This was done by coaching and supporting the sales team in addition to sharing best practice amongst the cluster and UK.

·       EMEA Sales Team of the Year 2008 (global brand) for the implementation and roll out of a new sales computer system rolled out to the properties and global sales teams. Initial roll out of the system to all conference offices within 65 hotels for the company followed by the EMEA Sales Offices and on property sales teams.

·       Exceeding budget for a hotel in all elements responsible for and hitting the highest ever revenue for conference sales in 2009.

·       Multi Year contract won for a national sporting body for an international brand.

·       Tour of the London 2020 Olympic Park during construction as a thank for the work I did with sporting bodies for the company.

·       Recruited and trained a Wedding Co-ordinator with no wedding or event experience who became a huge asset to the business I worked for.

·       Turned around a struggling conference office and smashed the previous highest revenue for the hotel by £100k. Doubled the revenue within 18 months of starting.

·       Through the work I did, turned around a hotel twice and kept the business going during challenging times.

·       Pulling many years of experience together I setup my own business in September 2017.
