Today, as I was going through social media, I ran across a reel that was posted with a voiceover indicating that they didn’t want to work the traditional 9-5 anymore so they….. gave it up to work 24/7.?When you have a passion you love that you can monetize, it is easy to fall into that trap of working all hours of the day and night.?Yes, when you first start, there is so much to do!?But, it is easy to go overboard and allow it to consume your life and affect your health!
Many of us have families and other responsibilities outside of our business ventures.?Some of us still have a fulltime or parttime job and are growing our passions on the side.?Sometimes there are not enough hours in the day.?It is important to set boundaries give yourself grace if it takes longer than planned to complete what needs to be done!?
Your first priority should be you and your health!?Are you getting plenty of sleep??Are you eating nutritiously??Are you hydrating??Are you making time to exercise for your health and to manage stress??This should be a daily checklist for yourself!?Making sure you have all the bases covered, allows you to be at your best to feel your best and to do your best!?When you are functioning at your best, you are more productive, and your day will seem to run smoother!?And, you’ll be better at dealing with all the curve balls life delivers when you least expect them.
It is SO important to give yourself plenty of time to rest, especially when you have those hectic weeks where you are pulled several different directions.?For me, this happened to be one of those crazy weeks!?Between business, commutes to my dad’s, helping him, and an event every evening this week, I needed a day of rest!?When those days are needed, it is OK to sleep late, scroll on your phone from bed, nap on the couch, read, or what ever you want to recharge!
Having a day of rest and relaxation, known as R&R, ?have so many health benefits!
??Rest reduces stress and anxiety
??Improves your mood
??Lowers your blood pressure
??Reduces chronic pain
??Improves your immune health
??Strengthens your cardiovascular system
??Helps with weight management
??Lowers your stress hormone, cortisol
So, are you taking the time to rest, relax, and recharge??If not, it is time you start to allow yourself to take the time!?You will be much better off in the long run for your health and your productivity!?Give it a try!?What great benefit of rest and relaxation will remind you to treat yourself to a little R&R every day?
Thanks for following and subscribing to my newsletter.?If you want to make sure you don’t miss any of them, be sure to click the notification bell ??at the top right of my profile below the banner picture!?You’ll be notified when there is a post to view!
Have a blessed weekend if you are celebrating Easter and a blessed Passover week for those celebrating.?For anyone else, many you have a fantastic week to come as well!?Get some rest this weekend to kick your week off on the right foot!?Until next time….. Be well everyone!??
