Remember to Have Fu
So you know how they say that children are our biggest teachers. I used to roll my eyes when I heard that before I had my son.
And then days like today happen. I watched my son jump in the pool. Over and over again. Approx. 200 jumps later, he was still going. Then I took my phone and took some pictures. I couldn't see for the sun, so I only noticed once we got home and I flicked through them.
This picture of William. His face in the moment he leaped up in the air to take yet another jump - the ultimate joy, freedom, possibility.
I couldn't help but wonder: when exactly in our life do we lose that trust that no matter what we do, things will work out for us. That as long as we love what we do, that's all that counts. That a failed attempt from 5 minutes ago is long forgotten and really all that matters is that right now, I am trying again. New beginning, fresh start.
Excitement. Freedom. Hope. Joy. Trust. Courage.
Daring to go further, not because it's expected, but because it's fun. Because it feels incredibly empowering.
Friends, lets not give this up. Revive the inner kid, find her/him in you, be who you are and not who you have become to please others and to adjust to the world. BE YOU. IT'S YOUR LIFE. Don't let anybody take it away from you.
