Remember to Give a Gift to your Ghost of Christmas Future!
Two of my favorite Christmas Movies of all time are: Bill Murray’s Scrooged 1988 and Geena Davis / Samuel Jackson’s The Long Kiss Goodnight 1996. I love Bill Murray’s Scrooged because it gives a modern day tale on a classic story where everyone can relate in modern times. The reason I love the movie The Long Kiss Goodnight, is because the main character Charlie Baltimore played by (Geena Davis) is trying to find something she has lost…herself! And I love that she takes Samuel Jackson character along for the ride. Both of these stories are truly unique and truly relatable. Whereas, Scrooge is on a journey trying to find the meaning of Christmas within himself, and Charlie is trying to find herself as she tries to stop a make-believe terrorist plot. Which brings me to my message and or question for you…Will you use this Christmas time to say hi to your Shadow? Follow me for a minute.
For those who don’t know (like myself recently) your shadow is defined as:
“The thing a person has no wish to be' The shadow as the negative side of the personality, the sum of all the unpleasant qualities one wants to hide, the inferior, worthless and primitive side of man's nature, the 'other person' in one, one's own dark side.”
OR
Self: "Hidden or unconscious aspects of oneself, both good and bad, which the ego has either repressed or never recognized." (Sharp, 1991)

I know…it’s deep for the holidays, but, I still want to talk to you.
Wherever you are, whatever you plan do, whomever you plan to spend time with, I would like to ask you to do me a favor…give a gift to your Shadow.
I’ve always believed that I was different, not because my mother told me so or my mentors saw something in me. No! It was before all of that; before I even realized that I was different from the rest of the world, I knew I was strange but I never knew why. Yes, like most, I have had an enormous shadow and over time, my shadow became so dominant that it drove away the ones that truly loved me and destroyed every dream I had. Yet, I had no idea what or who my shadow was until these past couple of years. Where like you, I had time to stay home and reflect on my shadow and literally had deep conversations with him. Now, I have a small sense of who my shadow is and what it’s purpose truly mean to me. ?And believe it or not, things have gotten somewhat better. Yes, I do have my super-highs and my deep-lows but now, I know it is not my shadows fault. So, here is another question for you…Do you have the courage to confront your Shadow this Christmas?
We are at a turning point in our history and honestly, things are not what it used to be. These past three years have given all of us “multiple third-eyes” in the way we see things. For the majority of us, we no longer, move the way we used too. For us, time is no longer relevant, where as action is now the greatest currency of all. Yet, even for us, we are still afraid to confront our shadow for the fear of what our shadow would reveals to us. But again, I truly challenge you to confront your Shadow this Christmas, and see what it has been trying to show you all this time.
Remember, when you confront your shadow, you’re not confronting your shadow looking for change, you’re confronting your shadow because that is the first step to change. And once your sit and listen to your shadow; that is when true change comes…it’s that simple.

My shadow revealed to me that I’m not perfect nor unique. But in fact, I am my own action on my timeline of life. My shadow also said that I have multiple gifts in which I refuse to share to the world. A gift of vision, understanding, compassion, and drive. But because I continue to look for monetary riches, I constantly miss the joy of interaction with others…to include myself. Therefore, this is why I mostly see the world as bleak and people as a burden. But according to my Shadow: "When, if only I try to 'turn my head' I would be able to see the possibilities which is waiting for me at the top of my steps to greatness."

Trust me...I didn't take that well. But I did listen. And then it happened!
My dreams, my mentor and spiritual teachings, my relationship with God, my relationship with my wife and children, my interactions with my team…ALL BECAME CLEAR!
Now, again, I still have my up’s and down’s but it is not as severe as before, in fact, it is pretty manageable. Life, finally has a good outlook. And yes, there have been recent tragedies in my life, and I know more will come…but that is LIFE! And I believe if you truly talk to your Shadow, you too will understand EXACTLY what I am saying in this entire message.
Never forget; Life can be a blur or Life can be clear…but it is all about YOUR PERSPECTIVE that will get you there!
