Remember Follow Friday?

Remember Follow Friday?

Remember Follow Friday??A note from Dan Ayer, Co-Founder, Director of PR/Social

I might be showing my age, but lately my beard is doing a pretty good job of that on its own. Do you remember Follow or Follow Back Friday? Back in the day (showing my age even more), Twitter users would show each other a little love and recommend people for their followers to follow, usually preceded with a hashtag #FF or #FollowFriday. It was a rare moment of niceness in a social media world that seems to get a little rougher by the day.?

Editor’s note: I’ve assured the Gen Z members of my team that this was in fact a real thing.?

Thinking back about #FF made me realize how many talented creative professionals I’ve had the chance to work with over the years. So in lieu of a typical blog post, I thought I’d give a shout or #FF to five folks I think you should keep on your radar.?

Looking for an artist or an illustrator who can bring some life to a character you’ve been dreaming up? Maybe you just need a piece or project with some killer color. Check out Jeanine Murch.?

Do you need someone who knows everyone? Or if they don't, can immediately make you feel like you’ve known them forever. Jamil Buie is your guy. A brilliant strategist, who can make doing something difficult feel infinitely doable.?

Katie Johnston might not love the label creative, she is an accountant after all. But she’s also a patient leader who can help any business understand what their numbers are really saying.?

If you’ve ever been to a bar, restaurant, coffee shop, office … Actually, if you’ve ever been anywhere in Pittsburgh, you’ve likely seen Aadam Soorma out and about. You’ve also probably had one of the friendliest conversations you’ve ever had with him. He’s strategic, creative and positive, not the easiest mix to maintain, but somehow Aadam does.?

Last, but not least, Joe Arnstein. Often when you work with a “vendor” a relationship can feel purely transactional.? Joe brings ideas, insights and humor to every project, making sure everything you work on him with feels like a huge deal.?

Don’t know if I’ll do one of these again, but it does feel good to call out a colleague whose work you really value.

Maybe #FF one of your own in the comments.
