Agony Aunts, or advice columnists, are still active and popular in various forms of media. Previously most commonly found in newspapers and magazines, now more commonly found on online platforms, continuing to provide guidance on a wide range of topics including relationships, work, and personal development.

When Jane and I were younger, we loved Jackie Magazine and of course the famous problem page ... Dear Cathy and Claire ...

It's not often we reminisce about the teenage magazines we used to read (ok, if you're asking, I also loved Just Seventeen, The Beano and Smash Hits and yes, I do still have all my copies of Smash Hits ...), but we were talking about it alongside a work issue that we had been discussing.

After many years supporting managers and leaders, we often get asked about the really intriguing issues they find challenging to deal with in the workplace. And usually it is about how to handle people. When we are delivering training face to face, it's easy to clarify the situation and offer help and support in dealing with the issue.

In our goal to provide online management training that is as close to the face to face experience as possible, we currently offer support to new managers through our weekly Drop-In Clinics - to secure and consolidate their learning through the Accelerated Journey from Aspirational Manager to Accomplished Manager within 6 months that they are going on.

But we also thought it would be fun to offer people like yourself, who are interested in what we do, to send in your managerial problems that you may have with people and personalities and we will offer you help and advice to handle the situation - just like the Agony Aunts we met in the past!

We aim to offer you our unique blend of empathy, experience, and practical advice to help you navigate through various work situations.

All you have to do is message us through LinkedIn or email us your people problems and we will provide up to date advice based on the problem shared and our 30 years plus experience working in management and leadership. Sharing your issue may give you a different perspective that will help you see the situation from a different angle.
