Remarkable journey for Yorkshire paramedics set to row across the Atlantic...

Hi Reader,

Just over a month ago, the industry gathered at The Emergency Services Show and The Emergency Tech Show , and it's been amazing to see how the momentum continues.

This week, we're excited to bring you two great stories from our Editor, Catherine Levin . She caught up with three paramedics at the show who are preparing for an extraordinary 3,000-mile journey across the Atlantic, aiming to raise money for charity as they take on the world’s toughest row.

The show also highlighted some of the ongoing challenges in the industry, particularly around firefighter safety. With an entire stage dedicated to PPE, it was clear just how essential this topic is. But as Catherine's post-show interview with Luke Gazzard BA(Hons) , NFCC's contaminants lead, reveals, the real challenge lies in keeping firefighters safe while they work in environments filled with toxic contaminants. It’s a complex issue that the fire and rescue community is determined to address.
