Remanufactured Glycol Dehydrator Delivered This Week

OilPro is busy. These days we either deliver fast, right AND affordably or things just don't work for our producer clients who face increasing regulatory and financial pressure.

When you check all three boxes, we find ourselves delivering another dehydration package to a producer who was on a tight budget with an urgent need and was unable to compromise on a design they required for a specific site. In order to accommodate a busy logistic schedule we were able to deliver a day early even! The budget was met with a completely remanufactured dehydration tower with 10 trays for mitigated emissions from a reduced glycol circulation rate for significant savings, without operational compromises for this sweet gas site.

Although an existing skid layout was used we were able to accommodate a completely new reboiler design, new filter system, external overflow system between reboiler and accumulator, new, upgraded electric pumps, flash separation, fuel gas scrubbing as well as instrument air headers, magnetic filtration and other additions without delay. The switch from pneumatic to electric pumps also meant the addition of new level control connections were required on the tower to manage pump control mechanisms. This switch adds to reliability but also greatly reduces the vented gas emissions at the client site.

All the above is accommodated on an existing skid. OilPro does not sell "as is, where is" as a rule because we like to control and warranty what goes out the door. That means no compromises are made on smaller piping and nothing that has seen service before is trusted without a rebuild/replacement. This is one of the busiest P&ID's we've seen on a glycol dehydration package in some time, but all changes were accommodated.

A full QA/QC package including newly created drawing is provided upon turnover to the client. Work and inspections were well-managed in this new COVID-19 environment using great project management and effective scheduling and safe protocols.

Open and quick communication between fabrication, project management, client operations staff input and EPCM electrical and process inputs were smoothly accommodated.

If you're looking for new surplus equipment, remanufactured production facilities or need a fast-tracked project that can come in on time and on budget without quality compromise, call OilPro at 403 215-3373 or visit www.oilpro.ca for a view of our live catalogue.

Hahaa.. trays rammed to the top and accumulators full of crud/corrosion. Sounds about right for most of the abused units out there. It’s surprising how many guys don’t know what the consequences are of coming on to hard.

Lots of old dehys laying around southern Alberta, they’re a dime a dozen for the cost of trucking.
