Reliving 4 years at HERE Technologies

I hope everyone finds this in the best of health !

Today, the 24th of June 2020, it has been a compelling journey of four years working at @Here Technologies for me. In combination with the occasion of us winning the 41st rank in 'India’s 100 Best Companies to Work For 2020' and India Data Operation's 11th anniversary on the 1st of July, I would like to thank my family and all the people who have been a part of MyJourney@Here.

Although I worked in the navigational map system on the journey to enable an autonomous world for everyone as part of my technical job description, HERE helped me dabble in a myriad of interests, in turn helping me balance my work and passion.

Reading and interacting with people with empathy has always been my point of interest.

Our company has an internal Talent Platform tool that allows employees to utilize their skills in different projects thereby reaching their full potential by mobilizing talent. I became a Cultural Champion through the same and could follow my love for conducting knowledge sessions and presentations in a group of people. It helped me act upon my theoretical knowledge on human psychology by creating interactive sessions. I have always been interested in communicating with an audience and believe in interactivity for lively sessions.

I took up the chance of following my passion for cricket and football in our internal sports events. I got to pursue my love for music through our in-house RJ shows. A new world of vlogging was opened for me by our spectacular 3D virtual site. I learnt about the skills of video editing by creating and starring in project specific and entertainment videos. I also got the chance to manage and create interesting team engagement activities and office trips for teams to enhance team spirit and bonding which is an essential part of working together.

I participated in a plethora of activities and managed to win a few of them like street plays, dance, Independence Day events, Republic Day events, traditional day events, food events, mindfulness and healthy living workshops, innovation platforms to name a few.

Women's Initiative Network inspires every woman at HERE to think boldly about her career and to actively pursue her professional goals in the technology industry. It also educates all genders to work towards an inclusive environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed promoting gender equality.

Employee Assistance Program is going to provide quick and easy access to confidential counselling to us employees along with our families too. HERE has believed in providing great benefits and policies keeping employee input and safety in mind. HERE Pride has been introduced to focus on allyship, inclusion and uplift for the LGBT+ community, both inside and outside the company. EMPOWER, a gamification tool has been showcased on the Grand Prix theme to encourage employees at their work.

Corporate Responsibility team and India HIPE SR team manages events to give back to the society through Rise Against Hunger India, beach cleanup drives, helping underprivileged kids, etc. to align with our social responsibility values.

MyJourney@HERE provides employees to create a Development Plan for themselves working upon their individual strengths and weaknesses with the help of their managers.

It has been a great time working in a friendly, inclusive and diverse atmosphere. I look forward to growing vertically and horizontally grabbing more opportunities at HERE along with the wonderful HERE family.
