The main Function is to provide Reliability in Design(s) the main object being the Development of Project Engineering Activities and Methods, provide facilities for Engineering Support and Maintenance schedules. Safety Assessments and Fault Analyses of Design Standards.

Computer Aided Methods in Engineering are often used to Enhance Hardware Design and include Technical Appraisals of Out-Sourced / Generic Equipment. Further Developments in Design Expertise are vetted by the appropriate Certification Authorities.

Engineering Quality Assurance and Procedural functions include under ISO 9001/2 Regulations, and together with Technical Audits are important in the Acceptability of installed & commissioned Equipment in major Projects such as in Vertical Transportation

A declaration of Design Performance [DDP] Define the limits acceptable from Outside/Generic Suppliers. When fully Agreed the DDP is signed by the Chief. Engineering Project Manager and passed to the Approval Authorities

The Major Objectives are the controlling of Sourcing/Installation Procedures and must meet the Requirements of Procedural & Engineering Quality Manual, comparative interfaces, all are subject to regular Audits and any deficiencies exposed must be corrected. The Engineering Quality Assurance Engineers are responsible for ensuring Project Engineering and Compliances to Regulation and Standards.
