The relevance of Sufi poets to today’s global challenges

We live in unprecedented times of a world described by many leaders as ‘VUCA’ - volatile, unpredictable, complex and ambiguous. A world that has many challenges political, economic, social, and environmental. At the heart of this is the need for the human species to evolve its consciousness to be able to respond fully to the complexity of the world we have created.

The Sufi tradition for many millennia has evolved wisdom teachings, spiritual practices, and daily routines, focused on how to evolve our thinking and being, both as individuals and collectively.

Next week at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institute (Thursday 16th March 7.30 - 9.30pm. Admission Free) I will be delivering an experiential lecture in which I will share wisdom teachings of some of the great Sufi poets including Rumi, Hafiz, Saadi, and Omar Khayyam and explore how these can be translated into practices we can all do in a busy demanding life.

Please let anyone who you know in the area, know about it, or write to me if you would like a copy of the talk or access to the recording.

Lovely...I use similar in my work. What kind of response did you receive Peter from your audience?

Missed this notification Peter...Apologies. I trust the event went well. I would be very interested in having access to the video, if that is still possible. Hope you had a gentle Easter.

The video of my talk with music and poetry performed by friends can now be found on https://www.renewalassociates.co.uk/sufiway/ I hope the many of you who requested it found it of value. Let me know?

Peter, I wish I could attend. I grew up reading, reciting and totally submerging myself in the poems by Hafiz, Rumi, Saadi, Khayam, Baba Taher & Zakaria. Visiting the remains of Mansour Hallaj impacted my soul forever. The Sufi who was killed for saying " I AM DEVINE". It fascinates me and at the same time fills me with curiosity about my own mission when I hear so much of these teachings in every class I attend. From Conscious embodiment to Enneagram. From leadership Summit to Inner Critic! Well, making it short. Would love a copy of the recording. Gratitude.
