Relationships : What they mean to you?

What is the most romantic part of the ocean? "When a buoy meets a gull"... well this sounds like when "boy meets girl"...whereas a buoy is a floating object on water and the gull, it is referred as sea-gull here which is a sea bird.... ? when these two float on a rising wave, the ocean looks so beautiful and romantic. The relationship of a buoy and a gull is therefore happening at the oceanic waters and has a meaning.

Each relationship you have with someone has to be meaningful. In a relationship that is based on love and one another's personal growth, you love one another no matter what, your feelings shouldn't vary day-to-day depending on what your partner does or doesn't do for you but on the other hand when you truly love someone, you can't expect them to do things for you, you would actually do things for the person on your own.

We all have many relationships in our lives, Parent-children relationships, siblings relationships, husband wife relationships, girlfriend boyfriend relationships, neighbourhood relationships, school friendships, college friendships, parent-teacher relationships, boss-subordinate relationships, teacher-student relationships, fellow commuter relationships, customer-supplier relationships, our relatives relationships, human- pets relationships, government public relationships, office colleagues relationships, business relationships, social media relationships, community relationships, owner servant relationships, country to country relationships, political relationships and so on but all the relationships require a "medium" or a "plain" on which these relationships are based and this medium or plain is very important which forms the basis of the relationship, it could be home, office, school, college, community, business, commercial, social, political or any kind of relationship we all need to have a medium or a plain that is where we form the relationship with people.

We value all our relationships on the basis of mutual trust, understanding, commitment, empathy, respect and love and expect to receive the same kind of reciprocation from others. Feelings play a major role in all kinds of relationships because these feeling are very important to maintain or to break the relationships, Everything that exists in this world starts to deteriorate with time if it is not cared enough or not given much needed importance. So also applies to relationships. May be you are not adjusting to someone or they are not putting effort like you are doing.

If your past relationships did not work, we need to give it a try again to a new relationship. It will get to work eventually or give yourself some lone time. When it will be your time, you will automatically find someone that you would want to live with your entire life. So do not think like it is because of you that your relationships are not working. Life does not work like trying out to settle with anyone you meet and then moving out of relationship if it does not suit to you or them. Let life unveil itself its own sweet way. 

Do feelings really fade away? Feelings actually don’t fade away! Its pretty common in relationship when people tend to do lot of things just after getting in to a relationship, its fine as always there must be a positive vibe about everything, but they forget that its just part of life not life itself. So even if you’re deeply associated with your better half try to have some space to yourself and don't be too indulged, else you will feel monotonous.

The balance is always required to be maintained in all the relationships and this is where we feel little lost because there are always demands on our limited time to give justice and space to each and every one associated with us in our daily lives. Work Life Balance is most critical to have both a 'happy home' and 'happy workplace' and both the partners have to work hard to maintain this harmony in our home and office on day to day basis.

Everyone needs a break! Even the relationships need a break some time, both husband and wife need to break away from each other and be with their own groups of relatives and respective friends separately. Being all the time together also brings some kind of "taken for granted" feelings among couples and therefore it is important to find some free time from each other and give enough space to each other for doing something on their own choices. Both partners need to develop their own hobbies and pass times as per their choices and this brings some kind of relief in the strenuous daily routine. School and college reunions are the best part of reigniting old fires and catching up with our old school or college friends which brings back beautiful memories and creates a new kind of energy to the home front.

Like we get weekends free from office, we also need to have free days where each family member does what they want to do, let the ladies who work so hard in the kitchen every day and night may get freedom to order food of their own choice and have a rest from the kitchen duties, or when servants or maids are absent the whole house should come forward to share the work and get the work done without any fuss. This kind of cooperation from family members is always needed to have a happy and closely knit family relationships.

I know this subject is so vast that we can go on writing pages after pages on this issue. But in order to summarise I would like to remind each one of you is to give respect and trust to your partners and have some space for them as well so that each of us will get their own free time and space to recharge our batteries and keep working towards improving our relationships everywhere.
