Relationships and Connections Matter
I've been with TD for over 25 years and one of the big lessons I've learned in that time is the value of relationships, and how the connections that we form with one another support our shared success. This is my inaugural post for LinkedIn as President and CEO of TD Securities, a position that I took on in September of last year. Since then, I've been meeting with clients and colleagues to hear directly what matters most to them and how we can best work together to achieve their goals. It's in these forums, meetings and touchpoints that we create and strengthen the ties that are foundational to a relationship built on mutual trust, respect and understanding.
I've really enjoyed connecting and reconnecting in person over the last few months while reminding myself to be safe and responsible. And while the pandemic threw yet another curve at us, I've found screen interactions to be better once you already have an established relationship. This reminds me of some of my experiences volunteering for the Ismaili community, where volunteers from across the country, and many times, from far reaches of the globe, who have never met before, come together to achieve common goals and objectives. It's one of the most powerful work and interaction models I've ever seen that's bound by common connections.
TD Securities is well-positioned for continued growth and success and I'm excited to work with my colleagues to accelerate on our momentum to build for the future and be where our clients most need us.?Our talent and culture are our most important assets and will be the reason for our success as we move forward.
