The Relationship of Business

The lost art of relationship has plagued the 21st century. Business has shifted from what was once a relationship driven connection based interaction, to caring all about efficiency. However, recently more and more businesses have realized that people desire connection, over simply making a purchase. These companies that have shifted their focus have seen an impressive growth all while maintaining relationships.

Owner and co-founder of Teak Tree Capital, Adam Deem, stated at a business forum at Oklahoma Baptist University, "We never give people a reason not to trust us." This is such an integral part of conducting relationship based business. Trust is key, if you can gain the trust of clients and buyers, then there is no limit to which the company can grow. If you make keeping promises a priority, then honest business that attracts customers is the outcome. Never forget, always be grateful for what you have been blessed with.

Generosity, Adam Deem made clear that he believes that it is key to conduct business in a manor of giving. Never say no to an organization, or person seeking out help form your company. Proverbs 3:9a says, "Honor the Lord with your wealth." Give without reservation. If you spend your life trying to chase happy, you will find yourself comparing your success to others and their "happiness." Do not forget where you came from, or how you got to where you are.

You do not always have to be right, you always need to be humble and own your mistakes. Mistakes are a natural part of the growth process. The late Thomas Edison said, "I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that wont work." Without failure and mistakes, there is no growth. Another question one must ask themselves, am I growing in spiritual principles, or material goods? The pathway of growth is paved with spiritual principles, that bring forth wisdom.

"The condition of your heart directly impacts how you conduct your life." - Adam Deem
