Relationship is Business' Most Strategically-Important Asset

Relationship is THE most fundamental issue in alliances and partnerships; hidden in plain sight.

It is NOT a problem area that needs to be fixed or managed; the common view in the world of business. "We have some 'relationship issues'!" is the refrain often heard.

Relationship is business' most strategically-important asset!

Nothing in the world happens outside of relationship. It is where all value-creation (collaborative-R&D and co-development) and where all value-exchange (co-marketing and co-selling) occurs.

Relationship is:

  • A third something, in-the-between. It is not you. And, it is not me. It is in-the-between.
  • Alive - it changes. And, it can grow and mature over time.
  • Creative - it is the source of all new ideas.

Businesses need to first see and value relationship. Then, they need to design and engineer relationship itself.

This video discusses relationship, in the context of strategic alliances and partnerships - webs-of-relationship.
