The Relationship Between the Amount of Blowing Agent and the Properties of the Foam
The relationship between the amount of blowing agent and the properties of the foam is that the apparent density and compressive strength of the foam decrease as the amount of foaming agent increases, and the density of the foam varies little after the dosage of foaming agent >14.0%. The type and proportion of curing agent are also different with different ambient temperature.
Effect of ambient temperature on room temperature foaming properties of phenolic resin
The foaming quality of phenolic resin at room temperature is closely related to the matching of foaming speed and curing speed. Both foaming and curing processes are affected by temperature.
The boiling point of n-pentane was 36.1 ℃. When the temperature of phenolic resin added with various additives reaches 36.1 ℃, it starts foaming. Therefore, the initial temperature of materials, i.e. ambient temperature, is closely related to normal temperature foaming. experiment
Add a fixed amount of common curing agent H2SO4 at different ambient temperatures
Foaming was carried out at room temperature. The experimental results are as follows:
n-Pentane was used as foaming agent. Under the optimum foaming conditions of F / P ratio of 1.8 and curing agent 4g H2SO4, the effect of foaming agent dosage on the comprehensive properties of foam was studied. The relationship between the amount of foaming agent and the apparent density of foam is shown in Figure 1 below.
