Reignite Your Network: Make this year the one that you meet and exceed your goals.
Reconnecting and reigniting with your LinkedIn network is one of the easiest, most effective ways to spark new opportunities. Here's how to make it meaningful and productive:
1. Look Back to Move Forward
Before diving into new connections, review your LinkedIn activity from 2024:
Check your messages: Who did you chat with? Who did you not didn't follow up with? Take time to review past conversations and identify opportunities for to reconnect..
Review your engagement: Which posts or comments led to meaningful interactions? Analyze what content resonated most with your network and plan to do more of this in 2025.
Identify dormant connections: Who haven't you interacted with in a while but would benefit from reconnecting? Create a targeted list of high-priority contact and reach out to one or two people every day. Keep track of your conversations and remember that the "f" word- follow-up is your key to success.
2. Send Personalized Video Messages
Reconnect with warmth and authenticity while standing out by sending a personal video message,? Use LinkedIn's direct message feature or tools like Loom or Dubb to create personal, engaging videos.
Keep it short and engaging: "Hi [Name], I was reviewing my network from last year and realized it's been too long since we last spoke. Let's catch up—I'd love to hear what's new with you!"

Bonus: Mention something specific about your last interaction to show you care and demonstrate genuine interest in reconnecting. Let them know you are NOT selling anything but simply looking to reconnect and find ways to support one another. I use the phrase "Let's keep it in the NO SALES ZONE.
3. Reconnect with Past Clients and Referral Partners
Think about the clients, collaborators, and referral partners you worked with last year. A quick message can rekindle those relationships. Out of sight is out of mind.
Send a thoughtful note: "Hi [Name], working with you in [Year/Project] was a highlight for me. I'd love to catch up and hear about what's on your plate for 2025. Would it make sense for us to set up a time to talk soon?? Happy to send you a link to my calendar or feel free to send me yours.? Looking forward to speaking soon.
?4. Use the $5 Starbucks Gift Card Strategy
Sometimes, a small gesture can make a big impact:
Send a $5 Starbucks eGift card with a message like: "Hi [Name], I thought you might enjoy a coffee on me! Let's reconnect soon—I'd love to hear how things are going and explore how we can support each other in 2025."? Thanks a latte
This simple act of kindness opens doors and warms up even the coldest connections, creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue. (If you send this in a video message, you are much more likely to get a response).
?5. Create an Engaging Post to Spark Conversations
Write a LinkedIn post asking a thoughtful, open-ended question to re-engage your network – Find a cool video that will catch their attention and get the conversation started. Make sure you have a call to action in your post.
Example: ?Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away - What's one part of your business that you love so much you would do it even if you didn’t get paid? For me it’s (fill in what it is for you).
When people comment on your posts, use it as an opportunity to start direct conversations and deepen professional relationships. Remember to respond to the comments you receive.

1 个月Rhonda, why Loom or Dubb is better than a normal video, I use Veed.io for making it readable as well. In sure I'll start using your system, I'm still far far away from being overbooked, after almost 2 decades on LinkedIn as a Linkedin Expert.
