Rekindle - The Festival of Lost Skills is back!
Welcome to our 6th edition of the Common Knowledge Newsletter, in this edition we want to tell you all about our upcoming Rekindle Festival and Launch event LASRAí.
You are invited to Rekindle Festival of Lost Skills, taking place in Ennistymon on 16th & 17th August.
This year's edition focuses on uniting communities across generations and cultures through traditional skills and crafts.
HIGHLIGHTS
Our launch event - LASRAí, will be an evening of intercultural traditional music and dance in Ennistymon Community Centre on Friday 16th with Irish and International musicians and performers including Stephanie Keane, Ultan O’Brien, Seamas Hyland, Aindrias De Staic, Louise O Connor and Mohammad Syfkhan. We also be joined by Citadel, a 10 piece global sounds band formed in a direct provision in Cork and Kateryna Cerniak, a folk singer from the Ukraine who moved to Ireland during the current war. Then on Saturday August 17th, our free admission Rekindle Festival Day will see Ennistymon alive with tradition, featuring:

- Performing Arts Programme
- Song and Story Sessions

Common Céilí with Louise O'Connor at Common Knowledge
Get your dancing shoes at the ready for an unforgettable evening of social dancing and traditional music at Common Knowledge! Louise O Connor, a brilliant dancer and musician, will be teaching us some lively dance steps and hosting the evening. Joining her is the renowned fiddler, Aindrias De Stack and friends, promising a delightful celebration at Lúnasa.
Whether you're an experienced dancer or a complete beginner, you'll have the chance to immerse yourself in the vibrant art of Céilí dancing. No partner is needed - everyone is welcome to join in the fun and practice your steps for the Céilí Mór at Rekindle on the 16th.?
