Rejuvenation and Resilience - Your wellness from September to October

From September to December your ATB Wellness team is giving you lots of ways to rejuvenate and build your resilience.

Every two weeks we will give you four bite sized pieces of wellness for you to pull from internal ATB Wellness Community as well as the internal shared “ATB Wellness” calendar. You'll get to hear about the wellness journey of an ATB leader, listen to a Wellness Wednesday, learn more about one of ATB’s wellness resources and try out a new behavior to role model.

Here's all the details for the months of September and October:

September 6:

  • Executive Story: Liz Stretch, Chief People Officer
  • Wellness Wednesday: Traditional and modern rejuvenation and meditation techniques with ATB’s Colin Gingras and Nalina Kumar, Wednesday September 6, 1230-1pm, find the link in the shared “ATB Wellness” calendar or Wellness Community to tune in.
  • Featured Resource: Rejuvenation Rooms, and guidelines.
  • Behaviour: Block off time for your personal wellness and encourage fellow team members to do the same i.e. walk, work out, mediate.

September 20

  • Executive Story: Alex Nuth, Director Strategy Coordination Office
  • Wellness Wednesday: How Sleep Health supports your Resilience with Dr. Chris Carruthers, Wednesday September 20, 1230-1pm, find the link in the shared “ATB Wellness” calendar or Wellness Community to tune in.
  • Featured Resource:  ATB Wellness channels, content and contacts
  • Behaviour: Invest in your sleep health, complete your sleep health inventory and/or bedroom checklist to improve your sleep health (Note: use online versions from Dr Chris)

October 4

  • Executive Story:  Dave Mowat, CEO & President
  • Wellnenss Wednesday: The relationship between stress and eating with Hotchkiss Brain Institute, Wednesday October 4, 1230-1pm, find the link in the shared “ATB Wellness” calendar or Wellness Community to tune in.
  • Featured Resource: Homewood Health, your Employee Family Assistance Program
  • Behaviour:  Create your Homewood Health online account and use a Homewood Health service i.e. talk to a dietician, find daycares near you, sign up for the 12 Weeks of Wellness program, or get some legal advice.

October 18

  • Executive Story: Bob McGee, Chief Financial Officer & Head of Operations  
  • Wellness Wednesday: Fast nutrition in a fast paced world with Nikki Karn, Wellness Manager at Stuart Olson, Wednesday October 18, 1230-1pm, find the link in the shared “ATB Wellness” calendar or Wellness Community to tune in.
  • Featured Resource: LifeSpeak library and monthly webchats
  • Behaviour: Support the ATB catering guideline, role model and support healthy eating at work
