Over the past year, my brother Dipam Patel and I have been on a dedicated journey toward better health. By reducing our diet, cutting down on carbs, and consistently engaging in exercise, walking, and running, (My brother is more into Yoga and Gym) we achieved a significant weight loss of 25–26 kg in last 1.5 years. However, we realized that it was equally important to evaluate whether our health routines were optimal or if there was room for improvement. This introspection led us to the Jindal Naturecure Institute (JNI) in Bangalore, renowned for its holistic wellness programs.

The Beginning of Our Wellness Journey


On the way to JNI

We checked into JNI on the morning of January 3rd, mentally prepared for a significant shift from our daily routine. Our first meal at JNI was a clear sign of this change—a plate of steamed raw vegetables, sprouts, and a serving of soup. This was followed by a consultation with a doctor, who tailored a personalized treatment plan for us.

A Structured and Purposeful Routine

For six days, our daily schedule was thoughtfully designed to detoxify and rejuvenate both mind and body:

  • 5:00–8:00 a.m.: The day began with Jal Neti, gargling, and eye cleaning rituals, followed by 10 minutes of meditation, 10 minutes of laughter therapy, and 1.5 hours of yoga in an expansive open arena.   • 8:00 a.m.: We were served hot jaggery with ginger and a small portion of sprouts, providing a light yet energizing start to the day.
  • 9:00–11:30 a.m.: Treatments like mud baths, steam inhalation, and therapeutic massages (including Kairali massage, Shirodhara, hot stone therapy, and salt massage) helped detoxify and relax our bodies.


  • 11:30 a.m.: A simple lunch consisting of watermelon, papaya, and soup kept our diet light yet nutritious.


Daily Lunch

  • Afternoon Juices: Fresh juices were served at 1:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m., tailored to our doctor’s recommendations.
  • 5:45–7:15 p.m.: Dinner included steamed vegetables, sprouts, and soup, maintaining the clean eating approach.


Daily Dinner

  • Evenings: JNI organized engaging activities at Jai Mahal, such as health-related Q&A sessions, quizzes, and interactive games, fostering a sense of community among guests.
  • 9:30 p.m.: After a final serving of hot jaggery with ginger and a relaxing mud bath, we would retire for the night.

A Special Treat on the Last Day

On the final day, JNI surprised us with a delightful continental meal—vegetable burgers, baked vegetables with soup, and a delicious apple cinnamon cake paired with natural pineapple crush. It was a perfect blend of health and taste, leaving us thoroughly satisfied as we prepared to check out.

Our concluding consultation with the doctor revealed our progress: I lost around 2 kg, while my brother shed 3–3.5 kg during the week-long stay. Beyond the numbers, the experience brought mental clarity and physical rejuvenation.

We stayed in a deluxe hut featuring 5-star amenities, complete with a lake view and immaculate cleanliness. JNI's vast premises included 15–20 acres of organic farms, 100 acres of lakes, and beautifully maintained gardens—an inviting environment for endless walking, running, and peaceful reflection.

JNI's use of automation was impressive, enhancing the overall experience. Each guest was provided with an NFC card that integrated all aspects of their stay. Whether at the restaurant for meals or the treatment center, tapping the NFC card displayed personalized details on a screen. The system instantly reflected updates from the doctor, including treatment schedules and dietary recommendations, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. This seamless integration of technology ensured every guest’s needs were met promptly and accurately.

A Diverse and Supportive Community

Out of 450 guests, 75% were repeat visitors—some returning for over 35 years—demonstrating the institute's lasting impact. Many guests were fasting, and the crowd included people from all walks of life, offering opportunities for meaningful interactions.
