Rejections Can't Stop Me! Powering Through the Job Search

Well, the rollercoaster ride of the job hunt continues! ?? Here's a midweek update: ?? Remember those pop quizzes in school that always caught you off guard? That's kind of what a rejection email feels like sometimes. You were cruising along, then BAM – a reminder that things don't always go the way you planned.

Here is the good, bad, and indifferent thus far this week. ????♀?

The good:?I had a fantastic first interview this morning from the referral I received on Monday, and I've moved on to a second round with the VP. This company's growth and values resonate with me in a big way. It's looking more and more like these 8 months of searching could be SO worth it! ?

The not-so-good:?I received a rejection yesterday. They decided to move forward with a candidate the firm has been working within a contract role capacity for several years. While tough to hear, the team was genuine and kind, highlighting my talent and how impressed they were. They even offered to keep me in mind for future opportunities. I know how valuable that is. ??

This has all been another reminder of the immense power of community. I’m thankful to those who reached out with referrals and encouragement. The job hunt is HARD, but you all make a difference!
