Rejection Is Protection
I know we want a lot of things in life and we get so disappointed when things do not go our way. You know that relationship you held on too long to and it did not work out, or how about that job or promotion you went out for and didn’t get it could very well be to redirect you to your purpose. The one thing that you have to understand is that every loss isn’t really a loss and every “win” isn’t really a win. Promotion can come directly rejection, a new life, a successful relationship, a new career, a new house, a new you.
Perspective is everything and rejection surely is protection. We view being rejected or told no as a real tragedy and it’s quite the contrary. Ultimately rejection moves the things that aren’t supposed to be in our lives out and makes a new way for the great things that should be in our lives to come forth. In reality being told no can be the very thing that can catapult you into your destiny.
Discouragement and fear often sets in due to the opportunities we feel we lost or missed due to rejection. Often times rejection hurts and it makes us uncomfortable and fearful to try again. Ask any woman that has been through childbirth, the pregnancy was uncomfortable at times, the delivery was painful and messy but it brought forth new life. A lot of times we want a new life but don’t want to go through the birthing process. Growth can be painful, the journey can be uncomfortable but the reward will be everlasting. If we can just stay steadfast and have the courage to never give up at the site of rejection, I believe we can accomplish even greater things for ourselves than we ever imagined. Be encouraged and stay encouraged.

9 年Good points, Terence Tillman. I think of being rejected (for a job or for a love interest since they are very closely aligned) that we simply shot too low. :)
