Rejected? Accept It For a Profound Rebound.

Rejected? Accept It For a Profound Rebound.

From today’s reading...

“He is the stone rejected by you, the builders,
which has become the cornerstone.”

How many stories have we read of determined humans staying the course despite early losses and rejections?

Michael Jordan—so the story goes—was cut from his high school basketball team as a sophomore.

Agatha Christie was rejected for five years. (With sales of over $2 billion, only William Shakespeare has sold more.)

Louis L’Amour was rejected 200 times.

Hugh Jackman was fired as a 7-11 clerk after just six weeks on the job.

Arianna Huffington ran for governor in 2003 but dropped out when polls showed she only had 2% of the vote...but she learned the power of the internet and the rest is history.

Jay-Z was rejected by every record label so he had to create his own label to produce his own record. 36 million sales and counting has turned Jay-Z into one of the biggest names in music and entertainment.

Being rejected is hard.

Quitting is easy.

Picking yourself up and stepping back into the ring is hard.

Complaining is easy.

Ignoring the well-meaning advice of those around you is hard.

Playing the victim is easy.

Do the hard, right thing today.

You can always quit tomorrow but that’s the worst way to...

Stay the course.

Keep the faith.

Endure.

Now go sell something.
