Rejected 40 LPA Offer | Big 4 | WHY ???

POINT 1 - WHY DID I APPLY?

- I got appraisal, so wanted to check how the market conditions are, so applied.

- I keep giving interviews every few months, to get hang of the market.

- I get a kick in that. & Nothing else.

POINT 2 - WHAT WAS THE ROLE

- Big data tester with Python

POINT 3 - HOW WAS THE PROCESS? INTERVIEW PROCESS?

ROUND 1

- Applied through Naukri portal.

- Got call from the HR

- 1st Round - 3 Interviewers

- You may think that I have got a good experience.

- But I still get tensed.

- Although I do not show it in the interview, if you are interested to know these things, then comment, I will make a video on the same.

- I appeared - Although the role was Big Data Tester, but most of the questions were on ETL/DWH concepts.

- Some questions were from Hadoop, Architecture

- My Project architecture

- My current role

- MY experience on different tools

etc.

ROUND 2

- This round was also 2 interviews joined

- Asked about multiple DWH/ETL concepts.

- BI Concepts

- My testing approaches

- Test strategies

- MY roles as Lead

- Test Coverage

- Client facing roles & scenario-based questions

- Python concepts, what all I have done in my Project

- Process based questions

POINT 4 - CONFIRMATION CALL FROM HR

- Selected

- They wanted to have the HR round, I said 40 LPA as my number

- They negotiated from 40 to 38, we stopped there.

- I was selected

POINT 5 - Why I did not join?

- First main reason was, this was not directly from PWC, this was contract role

- They confirmed the selection

- They did not finalize the joining dates & delayed for about 2 weeks.

- Then when they called me for Joining dates, I did not receive their call.

- I should have some self-respect

- Earlier they were in a hurry for the interview process

- For joining dates, they are not looking from the candidate perspective

- That makes me sad, this is what is happening before joining, what will happen after joining.

- Those who are watching, please be careful.

?????????- Stick to your rules & principles

?????????- Also on the Package, have a practical number in your mind. Stick close to that.

- do not be stubborn, but do not leave them to their will.
