Reinvigorating Joy
I LOVE Disneyland – I’ve been 5 times.
There is a reason they call it the Happiest Place on Earth – it's that infectious joy in the air that you can feel when you walk through the park.
Joy is indeed my happy place.
If you Google what is the opposite of joy you get words like despondency, gloom, despair, sorrow or cheerlessness - not super inspiring to me or I suspect many people!
So, I’ve decided to explore how to feel more joy – if I cannot go to Disneyland another 5 times then how can I explore ways to feel more joy and less blah.
I'm practicing some mindfulness in the everyday things I often rush past, the little moments of joy that really can add up to a more joyful life.
There is truth in that phrase how you spend your days is how you spend your life so why not a daily dose of joy practice?
Joy makes me feel lighter, reminds me not to take myself so seriously and helps ease the pressure cooker that life can sometimes feel like,
And you know what - with more joy I get more laughter and if joy creates laughter and if laughter creates more connection, then I am all in.

1 年A nice approach - I believe thankfulness can be a significant contributor to our joy…being thankful/grateful for even the little things and pausing to smell the roses and to help others can up the joy factor for us and others
