Reinventing the Museum Experience - USS Iowa Meets Palmer Luckey
This week, I had the opportunity to lead a meeting with executives from the Pacific Battleship Center, the Battleship USS Iowa and my friend Palmer Luckey. We orchestrated this event to honor and bring the vision of the National Museum of the Surface Navy to life within our tier-1 network, and we are just getting started.?
The Battleship USS Iowa in Los Angeles is enroute to becoming a National Museum by 2025. This isn't just an ordinary museum experience, it is a community platform leveraged for engaging and impactful programs featuring educational programs and resources inspiring future leaders, veterans programs and resources, and community programs.
The history of Battleship USS Iowa is rich and solemn. During WWII, and throughout all of American history, the west coast was the largest naval ground. Today, there are very few naval vessels serving as museums on the west coast, making the USS Iowa a hit attraction. Teaching this kind of history to future generations is essential in encouraging progression in future leaders' ideals, and keeping the stories of those who fought for us eternally alive.
Thank you to my friend Ken Hagihara, APR, Fellow PRSA, MCM for the invaluable partnership.

1 年My ex husband was sationed on the USS Iowa in the late 80’s-1990 in Norfolk VA. I’m very proud of this ships history in defending our country. Truly an amazing example of the fire power of the battleship. Thank you for recognizing this ships significance and power in our US history. I would love to see this museum! I’m sure i can locate casual pics of the crew on her deck
